Nothing perfect in society

"Our society is run by insane people for insane objectives. I think we're being run by maniacs for maniacal ends and I think I'm liable to be put away as insane for expressing that. That's what's insane about it."( John Lennon) In this society there are many opinions on what can make a perfect society but are any of these political philosophy superior to the other? The answer is no,there is no superior political philosophy because each philosophy are connected to one another. Each theory is based on what would make a perfect society but that is a flaw because in all actuality no society would ever be perfect.Utilitarianism the doctrine that an action is right, it promotes happiness, and that the greatest happiness of the greatest number should be the guiding principle of conduct. This philosophy is flawed because everyone in a society can be happy some people have to struggle and be poor some have to be rich and be happy. Ethos/enlightenment is the action of enlightening or the state of being enlightened which is insight, understanding, awareness, wisdom, education, learning, and  knowledge. This is all good in theory but not everyone can absorb knowledge.  Realpolitik principles based on practical rather than moral or ideological considerations. Anarchism is a philosophy that gives total power to the government, which isn't good if the government it could lead to corruption. Libertarianism is the theory that emphasizes individualism, which isn't good because if everyone do there own thing then society could become chaotic and bankrupt.European socialism tries to provide work opportunities, education, healthcare, and shelter, as well as trying to avoid violence in disagreements which is impossible because there a lot of people in the world with different opinions.Machiavellian is a philosophy that represents a dictatorship, which isn't good because people don't have a opinion. Egalitarianism is a philosophy that represents equality and for everyone to be treated equal but everyone isn't going to be treated equal. Anarchism is a philosophy that resembles total power which can lead to a corrupt government. In everyone's perfect society there is a flaw.

Superior Politcial Philosophy

In the world we live in there are many political theories/ philosophies for different parts of the world. The purpose for a political theory is "the study of the concepts and principles that people use to describe, explain, and evaluate political events and institutions." However, there is a superior political philosophy/ theory which is the Ethos but is known as The Enlightenment Theory.  The Enlightenment theory is the superior political philosophy because of how it focuses on an individual's morals or values.
The purpose of the Enlightenment theory was to have it be on a person's principles. For instance it includes natural born rights which is based on philosopher John Locke, "everyone is born with an equality of certain rights..."no matter what race a person is. In other words, women and men are to always be secure of "unalienable rights". In Addition, there must be separation between the powers, Executive, Legislative, Judiciary so that there is no powers that overpowers the other powers.   The Enlightenment Theory is superior because of how many people believe that they should have access to some sort of rights.
In conclusion, the world that exists in modern days have various believes. There are some philosophies that occur now a days because to shows a lot of organizing and structure in politics. The Ethos/Enlightenment Theory is an example of philosophies that are superior than the others.

The US intervene should Human Rights Abuses

Marilyn Monroe once said: “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” Many people don’t believe this quote because they believe that women are the inferior race and down play women’s worth with violate tactics like, domestic violence, rape, incest, pornography, forced prostitution (sex trade), so they can never be as great as they are meant to be. America should intervene and help women who rights aren’t being protected because if no one takes a stand them.
Countries like, Afghanistan, Iraq, Guatemala,Nepal, Saudi Arabia,Pakistan and many others violating women right is a social norm and neglecting to protect their rights is too.The average Afghan girl will live to only 45. More than half of all afghan women are forced into marriage before 16. Domestic violence is so common in this country that 87% of women in this country experienced it. Women are often forced into prostitution. Afghanistan is the only country in which the female suicide rate is higher than that of males. The U.S.-led invasion to "liberate" Iraq from Saddam Hussein has imprisoned women and use violence that targets women and girls. Parents fear risking kidnapping and rape for their sending girls to school. Women who once went out to work stay home. Meanwhile, more than 1millions more aren't ably to work  to earn enough money to eat. In Guatemala, female underclass face domestic violence, rape and the second-highest rate of HIV/AIDS. An epidemic of gruesome unsolved murders has left hundreds of women dead, some of their bodies left with hate messages. Women in Nepal  are forced into early marriage and suffer from childbirth exhaust, 1 out of every 24 woke will die during pregnancy or childbirth. Daughters who aren't married off may be sold to traffickers before they reach their teens. Widows face extreme abuse and discrimination if they're labelled bokshi, meaning witches. In Saudi Arabia, women are treated as lifelong dependents, under the guardianship of husband or male relative. Deprived of the right to drive a car, walk out the house alone or speak to men publicly, they are confined to strict lives. In Pakistan, women are gang-raped as punishment for men's crimes, which is a women doing things that are stereotyped as a "male position". Killing women in this country is more of widespread, because of religious extremism is targeting female politicians, human rights workers and lawyers.
Right is right and wrong is wrong and treating someone harshly because of their gender should always be wrong. In many Countries being female is a reason to reason to be oppressed, but what makes men better than men?

Human Rights Abuse

In the world we live in, there are many flaws that are disturbing and heartbreaking.  Human Rights is "every person is entitled to certain rights, simply by the fact of being a human."Unfortunately, there are causes of Human Rights being abused in certain areas of the world. An example is in India where disabled women  and girls are locked and being "treated worse than animals" in horrific ways in mental hospitals and institutions. The question is should the US intervene with there are human rights abuses?
In 2011, India had 2.21% of people who were disabled "including 1.5 million people (0.1 percent of the population) with intellectual disabilities and a mere 722,826 people (0.05 percent of the population) with psychosocial disabilities (such as schizophrenia or bipolar conditions)". In other words since India is large country, the females who are disabled are small amount but unfortunately they are "thrown under the bus"with help they need. The women and girls in India who are disabled should be having the support they need, but instead their families or people who are taking care of them place them in mental hospitals or institutions such as New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Mysore. The worst part is not that they are in these places that have a lack of hygiene, being put in a place that is overcrowded,  deal with harsh treatments. The saddest part is that they can not leave and even if you are walking down the street, the authorities have the right to take you if you are disabled and put you in an institutions with others who are in emotional and physical pain because their loved ones put them in there, being sexually assaulted without doing anything. It is heartbroken that these women are in a never ending nightmare but for people who are reading this now can only imagine what is happening but for these poor women, its their reality and its scary.
The women in these hospitals and institutions are they had their rights taken away. The women and girls would not only be cleaned, squeezed altogether in small place but they would have terrible treatments. One way that the facilities would "treat" the patients is by using a certain method called electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). Electroconvulsive therapy is a procedure that there are electric currents that go through the brain which would result the person to have seizures. There is a case of women who  is 45-year-old woman that has psychosocial disability who was placed an institution by her husband. She went through electroconvulsive therapy and she "would get a headache for days... When my medications was reduced, I started asking questions. Til then I was a vegetable. It was only many months later that I found was being given ECT. " This poor woman is only an example of  what the other females had to deal with and it is sickening that people would do this to women. Another tragic thing that exist in these facilities is that many of the women are sexually assaulted. In a case of only an 11 year old girl who is disabled stated that she was suffered physical violence were she lived in. She said that "the house aunty [staff member] who drops me to school hits me. She hits me here [in the institution] too. She slaps me hard with her hand."
The most important thing is that the United States should take action with this issue. Of course, the United States should because there are so many women suffering this terrible event that it has to end. The US could be the women's  hope of escape their nightmare. India is just one example of Human Rights abuse in the world but the United States can make the first step into stopping it.

US Constitution & Constitution of Bolivarian (Republic of Venezuela) similar?

In the united states, we have varies principles in which every individual has. Documents such as the United States Constitution provide away to protect one's rights and their independence.  A lot of countries have a certain types of constitutions like Venezuela. Venezuela has a certain type of constitution like the Constitution of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The Constitution of Bolivarian Republican of Venezuela was adopted in the 1999 in which replaced 1961 constitution. The former President Hugo Chavez was responsible for establishing the Constitution of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela
The United States Constitution and the Constitution of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela both impacted the countries government. The purpose of the United States Constitution was to create a system that American would have a federal government, limits the states power and to protect an individuals rights from an disturbance from the government. The purpose of the Constitution of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela was to "end of reshaping the Republic to establish a democratic,  participatory and self-reliant, multiethnic and multicultural society in a just, federal and decentralized State that embodies the values of freedom, independence, peace, solidarity, the common good, the nation's territorial integrity, comity and the rule of law for this and future generations; guarantees the right to life, work, learning, education, social justice and equality, without discrimination or subordination of any kind..."
Both documents have the same tenets and values such as an individuals have their rights in which they are protected, you have to be a citizen in the  country to have the ability of voting, slavery is illegal, the president has the right to veto or approve a law, and if the President is unable to serve then the Vice President would be able to serve. The documents showed that the powers are balanced and the people in the countries have certain rights. Overall, this just proves that even though they are two different countries, they have same idea of what is good for their country in order for it to be successful.
Even though both documents have similar views, however their are some components that are not the same. In the Constitution of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is that there isn't any kind of discrimination towards women meanwhile in the United States Constitution it does not state that women are equal to men which is still occurring in present days. In the Constitution of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the people in Venezuela do not have right of electing their senator. In the United States Constitution,  the people have the ability to elect their senator. Overall, the two countries demonstrates what restrictions the people have in their country.
In conclusion, every country has some sort of document that provides a regulations for the people. There are some similarities and differences between the tenets but express the same ideas to benefit their country. The United States Constitution and the Constitution of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela are examples of varies similar and different morals in their countries.

#TWOTERMS BY DEFAULT

The results are for the least anticipating election so far. Andrew Cuomo governor again. Many people aren't aware of whats going on in our society causing our old governor is our new governor again. People relay in social media to control their every move and I guess #governorelection isn't  trending on twitter. This lack of awareness people have on politics effects us as a nation because if people aren't fully education on who they are going to vote for and their platform voter could be voting for a corrupt person that doesn't want what they want. Many people were unsure of the who the candidates of the 2014-2015 governor election and only voted for Andrew Cuomo just because  his name is familiar. New Yorkers have always had a nasty taste in their mouth about this governor and leaves me confused on why he still governor.Public school teachers are oppose of the governor because he supports Common Core. Andrew Cuomo says that he don not  support the Common Core Standard and that is the board of regents but if that is the case she should talk to his employes and come up with a compromise to get rid of it. Governor Cuomo should stand up for New York and stand up for the upcoming generation.

Election Results

And our New York Governor of 2015 is ....ANDREW CUOMO!!!!! This will be his second term as New York's Governor and New Yorkers are having mixed feelings about these results. Public school teachers are oppose of this because of what everyone is debating about is Common Core. Andrew Cuomo says how he supports the Common Core Standard. Well first off common core objective is having clear and steady goals in which it is suppose to help a student's learning abilities in their college, career and life. The real issue is instead of making a students learning easier, the poor kids are forced into working long on problems that would only take less than an hour. A second grader was crying and frustrated about her Common Core homework. At that age no child should be upset about homework. High Schoolers are already frustrated over trigonometric equations, proofs, and even statistics but when a little 2nd grader crying and having anxiety over whats 2+2 , then that should be a wake up call. That's crazy to begin with imagine going to your doctor and telling them that well I have anxiety and it's from my worst enemy, Common Core. If Andrew Cuomo wants New Yorkers to be on his side, his first order of business to cancel Common Core. It's easy as that of not then we might as well pack our things and get out of New York because no child deserves to suffer.

The debate

The Green New deal which is Howie Hawkins and the Green Party policy. They want to implement, public jobs for the unemployed in public works. Increase minimum wage to 15/hour so people can actually live off of minimum wage. Doesn't believe in a trickle down system because money don't get to the middle/lower class. Howie understand the struggle of the average citizen because she worked middle class construction jobs. Built in progressive personal tax. Free health care for all New York. Disagrees with common core  and believes that teachers should create their own curriculum and lesson plans because they know whats best  for students.Free Tuition at CUNY, SUNY, and Community Colleges. Statewide income-based property tax circuit breaker for homeowners. Honest that he doesn't know if tolls are going to be increased, but says he want to modify the public transportation system so it's facile for average citizens. He wants 100% clean energy by 2030. Going to band tracking because it's toxic to the earth. Wants equal civil rights and racial justice. Fair Elections and getting rid of the two-party system of corporate rule with multi-party democracy.Wants to end corruption in the government.
This make Howie Hawkins the better candidate because he isn't funded by the wealth 1% so she isn't bias and has experience because he is the middle class.

Education Direction

The topic that is very controversial on this  up coming election is education on wether common core be embraced in the New York State education policy. Common Core is a set of  academic standards in mathematics and English language arts that a student is required to meet. This outlines what a student should know and be able to do at the end of each grade. Teachers in New York State disagree with the practice of common core, they believe that students aren't completely learning the curriculum, but how to pass the test at the end. Teachers also disagree that students should be given so many test and that they shouldn't be graded on how well the students grasp the topic.
Governor Cuomo of the Democratic Party agrees with common core learning and believe that we should implement money into the education system to continue the program.
Rob Astorino and the republican party education Plan includes replacing Common Core, change board of regents.
Howie Hawkins of the Green Party, says he would give transform foundation aid for public schools and exclude Common Core because it's "linked to high-stakes test that can be used to hold students back, deny diplomas, fire teachers and close schools." If Howie Hawkins  is elected students will learn simple arithmetic and actual things they need to learn to better their lives. It would be really effective because if the education system was reformed and changed their would be more successful influential people in society.

Opinion of Education Debate

Howie Hawkins probably has a good chance of drawing in more voters because he gives promising proposals. For instance, he says how he would give 100% foundation aid for public schools, completely exclude Common Core because it's "linked to high-stakes test that can be used to hold students back, deny diplomas, fire teachers and close schools...testing for Common Core is wasting public school resources" There has always been controversies with the common core but Howie seems like he has strategies up his sleeves and can be the key to ending this huge debate. This means that New Yorkers can have some closure with the feuds of what education policy they should follow.

Education Debate in NY State

This years Election for New York Governor gets more and more intense. The four candidates,  Andrew Cuomo (Democrat), Howie Hawkins (Green Party), Rob Astorino (Republican) and Michael McDermott (Libertarian) are ambitious and have their hearts to become New York's Governor. There are many issues that are valid in a New Yorker's perspective. One of them is a person's education. Lets face it without education, life would be hard as it is already. Education is a key to comprehending the things around us. In addition, each candidates agree that education is very important for an individual.  This year, New York is mainly focused on New York's education policy and the future of it would hold. Some topics of education was Common Core educational standards, segregation in schools, give more money to schools, etc. Each candidates have varies opinions on what to do with education. Andrew Cuomo plans on changing Congresses establishing formulas without application operation with no performance reasons, Vouchers (state-funded scholarships which help pay for students to attend private school instead of public school)  weaken many public schools, improve a classroom to make students want to learn and add more SUNY challenge grants so working class families have a chance at receiving an education. Next candidate is Rob Astorino plans on operating The Astorino/Moss Education Plan which includes replacing Common Core, change board of regents by taking away the power from Assembly Speaker, encourage on having skills that would benefit later years like bing healthy and being financially stable.  After is Howie Hawkins who agrees with Rob Astorino about excluding common core, but in addition he has some ideas of having teacher and school be evaluated on their actions, free tuition for SUNY, CUNY and community colleges. Lastly is Michael McDermott also wants to get rid of Common Core. Overall, it is a tough battle but all that matters is education for everyone. The real question is who has a better proposal for education?

The Battle for Governor (Opinion)

Overall, Andrew Cuomo seems to have a higher chance of becoming NY Governor once again. Even though his father was previously NY Governor, he has been very successful in his terms and caught many New Yorkers hearts and their attention. He has shown what he do and how we surely won't be disappointed. He shows how people should come first to have a bound with as well.
-Kayla Ashe B-band

The Battle for Governor

What is it to be Governor? Sure it might be that they have the ability of approving state budgets, having a choice to sign bills from the Legislature, represents state citizens and other elected officials throughout the nation. There are more privileges that one has when they are governor with that an old say is "with a great power comes great responsibility". In the year of 2015 we have four candidates that show their own ideas of being a governor.

Governor Cuomo has commitment to public service and the proven leadership skills to make government work for the people of the state. Governor approves abortion and that's it's the women's choose. He wants to  create public/private partnerships that leverage state resources to generate billions of dollars in economic growth. Platform on corporations tax-free incubator zones and prevent landlords from avoiding rent regulation. Plan form on Crime is to end stop and frisk, videotape all interrogations not give money to prisons, collect DNA for all crimes, to exonerate the innocent, not incarcerating youth. No tolerance for drugs, modify education system and putting for money in the system. Put more money in to clean oil and energy.

Next is Rob Astorino who is sided with the Republicans who presently serving his second term of being County Executive. Rob has many plans of actions when he becomes governor. He plans on lowing rates and valued cost to draw in more businesses, establish a connection with fellow New Yorkers and the press, and even improving a students education to benefit them for the future and the world.  Of course a governor's top priority is our economy. Rob has created a proposal to have more jobs for individuals to have New York's economy growing. Also he would have many facilities and building be rebuild so we can bring back mass-produce and high tech industries back to New York. On top of that he would attack high property taxes like lands, reconstruction, personal property, and personal property like stocks, bonds, etc.

Howie Hawkin is sided with the Green Party which means that they are against any violence, social justice and of course going green, he suggests on A Green New Deal for New York.  Economic democracy which mean flat taxes and equal wedges, Sustainable Agriculture and Food Justice, Environmental. Civil Rights and racial justice disapprove of stop and frisk and other racial of unequal police tactics.Criminal justice reform which gives everyone equal opportunity in the justice system. Workers rights that improve the wedges of workers. Immigrants rights allowing immigrants to have more freedom and rights like a average American citizen. Women's Rights like letting them have the same salary as men, and fair job opportunities, end Corruption of in the government. Howie’s economic plan is to create a state-owned bank so NY can pay for public project and for private businesses at low cost instead of having a private bank. Howie’s main force is going green especially since he wants more people to move to rural communities and have reserve healthy food. He also strongly disagrees with CAFOs which in other words are the Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations. In Howie’s eyes, they are damaging the environment, food safety, public health, ethical treatments of animals (abusing them) and etc. He also wants students/ children to have some sort of background knowledge of buying and creating fresh foods and have economic security which is incomes workers and retired elders need to achieve economic security.

Democrat or Republican

The difference between democrats and republicans is everything from their core values to their perspective on national security and the economy. Republicans believe that every person should be responsible for his or her self.Democrats believe it is the responsibility of government to care for all individuals under all circumstances.Republicans believe the government should help stimulate a business environment where people are free to use their talents.Democrats believe that the economy is too  complicated for individuals to navigate alone. Republicans believe in a strong national defense.Democrats believe we should scale down our military and reducing the money spent on military intelligence.

Neither the Democratic nor Republican Party is better then the other, both have some good views on politics but being able to understand the position of both side leaves me undecided and considered a liberal. I agree with the Republican view on national defense and we should continue to have a strong army just in case of any threats to the super power America is, but disagree with the Republican views on education and agree with the democratic education policy that test shouldn't be given to students to depict the capability of a student.

Even thought we have two sides of politics don't mean a side is right in the divided house we call America. Neither party have selfish views but different opinions on how to better America. Both sides have good views and if the decided not to take a sides on which political party is better but to become one political party and combine their ideas instead of bickering on who perspective is better America can become a better country and super power.

Democrats v. Republicans

In our government, we have two different parties that are the "backbone" for the United States. If people may or may not know they are called Democrats and Republicans. Both in which have different perspectives / ideals in our government, for instants Democrats that believe in being united and the Republicans that believe in the great Thomas Jefferson's Declaration of Independence.

First off is the Democrats who state that "we're greater together than we are on our own" even with President Obama on their side to create a stable economy, creating more jobs, education, health care, and making sure that each individual has supply to clean energy. For years they make sure that their people are involved and have many people's support including mine because everyone's voice is heard which is key to having a stable government. According to the Democrats we the people together can overcome anything.

Finally, the other party is the Republicans who has a representative to listen to what the people have to say and become their voice. Their goal is express their message to other Americans to gain the right of freedom and equal opportunities for all. Republicans main goal is to ensure each individual is treated the same way and spread the word of Republicans putting their people as their priority.
